We are becoming more aware of the long term emotional, behavioural and mental health problems that emanate from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). However, research findings also suggest that ACEs predict susceptibility to heart disease, cancer, stroke and other physical health conditions.
Al Coates MBE (dad, husband, adopter, blogger, social worker) will facilitate this half day event for NAFP members on behalf of Children Experiencing Loss & Trauma (CEL&T). The session will include a screening of the highly acclaimed film 'Resilience: the Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope' (trailer) with a brief presentation and CPD certification. It is free and open only to those working for NAFP members (maximum of two attendees per agency), including supervising social workers and foster carers.
